OVETEL has total capacity of more than 8000 E1's to 164 countries and a total of 1537 direct destinations in the world.[1] OVETEL specialized in direct routes to to Africa, Middle East, Southern Asia, Europe, CIS, Central and Latin America.[2] OVETEL has also established business relations with more than 400 operators of which 150 mobile carriers around the world.[citation needed]
OVETEL services only available to wholesale and retail carriers. Regardless of being an Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier, Competitive Local Exchange Carrier, Mobile Network Operator, Calling Card Operator, Private Cable Operator.
OVETEL customers include many of the world’s largest carriers including AT&T, America Movil, Belgacom, China Mobile, Reliance Communications, Qwest, KDDI, Skype, Tata Communications, Telecom Italia, Verizon, VimpelCom, Vodafone, Ukrtelecom, Rostelecom, Wind Mobile and Yahoo!.
Network
OVETEL has a digital switching network using Sonus Networks and ALOE Systems, Softswitch technology, for incoming/origination as well as outgoing/termination interconnections. OVETEL has a fully redundant IP network of private MPLS connectivity, and Public IP via Tier 1 network, with over a hundred trunk ports at DS-3, STM-1 and STM-4 signaling levels.
OVETEL operates five geo-redundant switching centers (POPS) in the North America, Europe and Asia.
The company is using network technologies from market leaders Sonus Networks (NASDAQ: SONS), Genband (formerly NexTone), ALOE Systems (formerly Mera Systems).
Starting May 1, 2010, OVETEL's network has been expanded and now can handle up to 250,000 simultaneous calls. It can also handle over 25 million minutes of voice traffic per day. The company's policy reads as, "stability, scalability and sustainability of the call".[3]
