League
After the sacking of Peter Beadle following the team's failure to make the play-offs for two consecutive seasons, Dean Holdsworth was announced as manager on 18th May 2008.[1] After a poor first half to the season where County only achieved four wins, the second half was a big improvement, with 12 wins and the beginning an unbeaten streak that would last a third of the way into the next season.
