The Nevada State Museum in Carson City[1] is one of 6 Nevada State Museums operated by the Nevada Department of Cultural Affairs. The primary building of the Museum is the former Carson City Mint. The exhibits include
- The world's largest exhibited Columbian Mammoth[2], found in the Black Rock Desert.
- The silver service from the USS Nevada[3].
The museum also has the Spirit Cave mummy, which is the oldest North American mummy[4].
