Neolamprologus cylindricus is a species of cichlid fish, endemic to Lake Tanganyika. The male grows to a length of about 12 cm, the female somewhat shorter. This is an aggressive territorial species. It lays its eggs in caves. Neolamprologus cylindricus eats small benthic animals. It keeps close to the rocky bottom of the lake, mainly in depths less than 10 meters.
