Nebbi Airport (IATA: n/aICAO: n/a) is an airport in Uganda. It is one of the forty six (46) airports in the country.[1]

Location

Nebbi Airport is located in the town of Nebbi, in Nebbi District, in northwestern Uganda. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi), by road, northeast of downtown Nebbi, just north of the highway from Arua to Gulu. This location is approximately 310 kilometres (190 mi), by air, northwest of Entebbe International Airport, Uganda's largest civilian and military airport.[2] The geographic coordinates of this airport are 02°30′49″N 31°07′57″E / 2.51361°N 31.1325°E / 2.51361; 31.1325Coordinates: 02°30′49″N 31°07′57″E / 2.51361°N 31.1325°E / 2.51361; 31.1325. Nebbi Airport is situated 900 metres (3,000 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Nebbi Airport is a small civilian airport that serves the town of Nebbi and the surrounding areas of Nebbi District. As of December 2009, the airport is not under the administration of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority.[3] The airport has a single unpaved runway, whose exact dimensions are unknown as of December 2009.
