Nazar Mohammad Khattak, is a Pashtun Lawyer, a Wakeel in Pashto.Nazar Mohammad, a practising barrister, Called to the Bar by the Inner Temple in July 2006. He is licensed to practicise in Pakistan, and was granted honorary life membership of the Peshawar Bar Association for his efforts in the Lawyers Movement against military dictatorship and to restore Chief Justice Ifthikhar Chaudhury as Chief Justice of Pakistan. He is a prominent community leader from Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. Educated University of London St. Bartholomew's Hospital Medical Collgege, University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes University and City University London and ICSL, which is now called City Law School and Quarrendon County Secondary School and Aylesbury College, where he was a governor also.He was born in Salehkhana, Cherat, District Nowshera in Pakistan. He served on many local committees and the Aylesbury Vale District Council. He was a member of the Liberal – Democrats. He spoke on such issues as forced marriage.[1] He was the parliamentary candidate for the Liberal-Democrats against Phylis Starkey in the 2005 General Election. He received 4,828 votes.[2]
He commented on the Bhutto family dynastic approach to passing on the leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party, and in a lecture at the[3]Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute - ZABIST in Karachi in 2004 he supported Pervez Musharaff's coup against Nawaz Sharif on the grounds that Pakistani, like other third world countries did not necessarily nor could necessasrily work within a Western style Athenian democracy, rather a hybrid "Danda" Democracy was needed - that is "stick" Democracy.
Nazar Mohammad was instrumental in the Court of Appeal Quila & Anor v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2010] EWCA Civ 1482 (21 December 2010) a case on "forced marriages and the age 21 years immigration rules".[4] The result of this case is that the United Kingdom government will have to reconsider its immigration policy. Thanks to all of this experience he has been granted direct access (public access) by the Bar Council in London.
