Navarro is a Spanish, Italian and Jewish (Sephardic[1] of Basque origin) name. Navarro is a regional name denoting someone from Navarre[2] after the Kingdom of Pamplona took on the new naming in the high Middle Ages, while also keeping its original meaning of 'Basque speaking person' in a broader sense, an ethnic surname[3]

Found in Bologna (Bononia) in Emilia where it is the capital of the province of Bologna in Italy.[citation needed]
