The 2009 Allianz National Football League was the Gaelic football league contested by 33 GAA counties' football teams: 32 from Ireland and one (London) from England. The tournament began with a game between Dublin and Tyrone on the 31st of January 2009 at Croke Park. The National Football league is regarded as the second most prestigious inter-county football competition (the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship being the most important).[1]
