Founded by Nangzhik Lodro Gyatso Founded 1107 Date renovated 1754 Type Tibetan Buddhist Sect Bon No. of monks 800 to 1000 Nangzhik Gompa or Nangshuk Gompa (locally pronounced "Narshi" or "Nogi" Gompa), formerly known as Gyelten Phuntsoling, (pinyin: Langyisi), is a Tibetan monastery of the Bon sect in Aba or Ngawa City, in Sichuan, China.[1] It is about a 4 km walk up a shortcut to reach the monastery on a hill to the north of the town. On a hill to the east is another Bon monastery named Togden or Topgyel which has a large chorten nearby.[2]

History
Founded in 1107 by Nangzhik Lodro Gyatso, it was moved to its present site in 1754. It is a large monastery with about 800-1000 monks, and it is said to be the biggest Bon monastery in Tibet.[3] Nangzhik is a branch of Nogi (Duiansi) at Changla (Zhangcuo) in Songpan.[4]
