Nachiket Mor Born Mumbai, Maharashtra, India Nachiket Mor was the Chairman of the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth. Now is working at SughaVazhvu[1] He is considered a a financial services expert, and was a former deputy managing director of ICICI Bank.
Early life
Nachiket Mor was born in Mumbai. He is a Yale World Fellow (2004); has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania with a specialisation in Finance from the Wharton School; a Master’s degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and an undergraduate degree in Physics from the Mumbai University.[2]
Career
He started his career as an officer in the corporate planning and policy cell of ICICI in 1987.[3]
While completing his Ph.D., he was associated with a Philadelphia based hedge fund (Quantitative Financial Strategies) for three years.
He has worked with ICICI since 1987 in a variety of jobs, including Corporate Planning, Project Finance, Treasury and Rural Banking, and he was a member of ICICI Bank’s Board from 2001 to 2007. He was the President of ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth and quit in 2011 to start working on SughaVazhvu Healthcare. He studied Public Health in Yale in 2004.[4]
He is also a member of Government of India's TAGUP, which is overseeing roll out of major IT projects. He was involved in India’s rural and micro banking initiatives and has in-depth knowledge on banking and financial management in the country.
He is a member of the Boards of CRISIL, RUDI (SEWA), FINO, IndiaMart, Shorecap Exchange (USA) and the India Advisory Board of Intuit (USA).[5]
