NEEKA

NEEKA or The International Fund for Health, Well Being and Environment Conservation or (Nemzetközi Élet Egészség Környezetvédelmi Alapítvány a Kárpátok Régióban) is a non-governmental organization that operates in the region of the Carpathian Mountains. Founded in the late 90's with the primary goal of protecting the surrounding environment, they have broadened their operations into a variety of social and humanitarian sectors. They currently work to try to provide vulnerable categories of people such as refugees and asylum seekers with basic assistance which today constitutes material, medical, social and legal aid. Neeka currently has centres in Ukraine, Hungary and Romania but operates in the neighboring countries of Slovakia and Poland as well.
