"My 16th Apology" is a song by British/American female duo Shakespears Sister, from their successful 1992 album "Hormonally Yours". Near the end of the song, Siobhan Fahey quotes Alexander Pope's Essay on Criticism with: To err is human, to forgive is divine.

Released in February 1993 as the sixth and final single off the album, it was the last single featuring band member Marcella Detroit. Fahey ended their partnership at the 1993 Ivor Novello Awards very shortly after the release of the single.

Due to this split, the single was very poorly promoted and only peaked at #61 in the UK.

Fahey would continue to use the Shakespears Sister name as a solo act and released a new single in 1996.

Music video

Fahey and Detroit were not on speaking terms at the time of the release of the single, and so the music video, directed by Sophie Muller, was an amalgmation of shots from their previous 1991-92 singles, also featuring unused takes from those videos as well as bloopers.
