(Kessler, 1874)Synonyms Ponticola eurycephalus, known as the mushroom goby or ginger goby, is a fish of Gobiidae family. Distributed in the Black Sea along the coasts of Bulgaria, Romania, Caucasus, in the mouth of the Don River. In Ukraine it is widespread in the north-western Black Sea, near Odessa, in the estuaries Berezan and Bug, in the Kerch Strait, near the Crimean coasts.[1] It has no commercial importance.
