It is the only high school administered by North Olmsted City Schools.

Awards and report card
The School District recently passed a levy on February 6, 2007, the fifth attempt after four previous failures. 4,077 votes were cast for the levy and 3,383 votes were cast against the levy.
Despite levy problems, North Olmsted High School continues to be awarded "Excellent" status on its school report card meeting 12 out of 12 state indicators for the 2006-2007 school year, as well as 2005-2006, 2004–2005, and 2003-2004. In 2008, the school earned "Excellent with Distinction" Status for the 2008-2009 school year.
Clubs and activities
The school's Latin Club functions as a local chapter of both the Ohio Junior Classical League (OJCL)[2] and National Junior Classical League (NJCL).[3]
The North Olmsted High School Marching Band performs every halftime during varsity football games.[citation needed]

Notable events
On September 16, 1990, two students burned down the front of North Olmsted High School[citation needed], causing North Olmsted High School students to go to the I-X Center.[5]
In 1996, the prom was held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
