History
Establishment
Munchy’s started in 1991, in a small town in the South of Malaysia, Batu Pahat. The Munchy's origins started with the two brothers SK Tan and LK Tan setting up Munchy Food Industries. With an initial investment of RM80,000 the brothers developed the company to its current state, with the involvement of their siblings, CK Tan and Net Tan.
Munchy’s production capacity increased by the year as the brothers worked towards their dream to share the joys of Munchy’s with the rest of the world.[4] The first destination for international expansion was South Africa. Subsequently, the brothers established a partnership with a reputable MNC chocolate company that allowed them to extend Munchy’s product offerings to include chocolate wafers.
International Expansion
In 1996, Munchy’s factory was built in Johor, Malaysia, with 120,000 sq ft (11,000 m2) of real estate and fully automated wafer technology. Considered the most advanced fully automatic wafer plant in South East Asia to date, three new products were revealed – Muzic Wafers, Munchini Wafer Rolls and Lexus Biscuits.

Today, Munchy’s owns a production plant and warehouse facility in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. The built-up area of these facilities amounts to more than 300,000 sq ft (28,000 m2) and is outfitted with:1. 2 wafer plants with the capacity to manufacture up to 510 tons per month.
2. 4 biscuit plants with production capacity up to 2,630 tons per month.
3. 4 wafer stick machines with 16 production lines with production capacity up to 210 tons per month.
A 120,000 sq ft (11,000 m2) warehouse was commissioned to be built. Munchy’s has recently adopted a new 3rd party logistics provider which will enable its business to be executed with “Speed to Market” distribution.All Munchy’s products are manufactured solely under the brand name of Munchy’s, with a record of 70 SKUs (Stock-Keeping Units) under their belt. The main product offerings for Munchy’s are Krunch, Muzic, Munchy’s, Lexus and Captain Munch.
1997 saw the introduction of MunchWorld Marketing Sdn Bhd, Munchy’s marketing arm and sole distributor of Munchy’s products. This entity was set up to spearhead Munchy’s branding, marketing, advertising, events, promotions and distribution.

Munchy Food Industries Sdn Bhd remains the manufacturing and group headquarters for the Munchy's brand. Munchy's maintains branches in Ipoh, Butterworth, Johor Bahru, Kota Bahru, Kuantan, Melaka, Sabah, Sarawak and international offices in Singapore and Thailand.[6]
Munchy's Klang OfficeMunchWorld Marketing Sdn Bhd, was established as Munchy’s marketing arm and sole distributor of Munchy’s products.

Cream Crackers
Munchy's Cream Crackers comes in a rectangular shape instead of the usual square-shaped crackers as it is specifically made for users’ convenience especially when it comes to dipping. The crackers also come in easy-to-open convenient sachets that can be put anywhere and be eaten at any place, anytime. Each pack comes in 410g with RCP of RM 3.80.
Sugar Cracker
Munchy’s Sugar Cracker is the basic square-shaped crackers with sprinkles of sugar on top, for those who want to enjoy crackers with a sweet sensation. The biscuits are packed in three individual sachets for users’ convenience. Each pack comes in 380g with RCP of RM 3.80.
Vege Cracker
Munchy’s Vege Cracker is the basic square-shaped crackers with sprinkles of vegetables on it – a combination of leek and parsley. The biscuits are packed in three individual sachets for users’ convenience. Each pack comes in 380g with RCP of RM 3.80.
Marie
Munchy’s Marie is the delightful crunchy sweet biscuits for every teatime or mid-day break that everybody loves. It comes in two flavours – Original Marie and Cappuccino, packed in a 300g each.
Mini
Munchy’s Mini is created for users who are looking for a munch-on-the-go snack. Now available in five flavours – chocolate, peanut butter, cheese, chocolicious and vanillicious – each pack comes in 45g packed in vertical bar format for users’ convenience.
Assorted – Topmix and Funmix
Munchy’s Topmix and Funmix offers a mixed variety of biscuits from cream sandwich, plain sweet, wafer, and more! It is available in two pack size – 295g and 750g.
Yosss
Munchy’s Yosss is the rich and smooth chocolate coated wafer bars that comes in three must-have flavours – chocolate, milk and strawberry! Packed in handy stick-sized packs, Munchy’s Yosss comes in a 105g pack size.
Captain Munch
Captain Munch is a new biscuit range from Munchy’s specifically designed for kids. Its range of biscuits includes Plain Sweet, Cookies and Cream Sandwich.
Besides offering an assortment of nutritional biscuits, Captain Munch comes in both big and small packs, making it a great treat for kids to either share with friends or to fit into their school bags when they are on the go.
Background
Captain Munch was developed and produced by Munchy’s in 2009. Originally, Captain Munch biscuit range consists of plain sweet and available in 2 flavours: Milk and Chocolate. In 2011, Captain Munch had a packaging facelift. Relaunch in March, the “Orang Utan” mascot was replaced with a young explorer mascot with its tag line “Discover Adventure” The new Captain Munch offers a variety of delicious biscuits range such as Plain Sweet, Cookies and Cream Sandwich.

Krunch
Krunch is a crackers from the healthy range introduced by Munchy’s. This product was launched in 2009 targeting health conscious consumers. Krunch comes in 2 product ranges namely Oat Krunch and Wheat Krunch.
Oat Krunch is baked with selected oats and wheat and comes in three flavours - Strawberry & Blackcurrant, Dark Chocolate and Chunky Organic Hazelnut.
Wheat Krunch comes in two flavours – Hi Fiber and Collagen. Wheat Krunch Hi Fiber offers hi-fiber packed krunch and Wheat Krunch Collagen is added with collagen goodness. Both Oat & Wheat Krunch are packed in convenient sachet packs and packaged in family pack (500g/480g/440g), sharing pack (180g/168g/144g) & individual pack (50g).
Muzic
Muzic is a wafer introduced by Munchy’s. This product was launched in 1998. Muzic comes in 3 product ranges - wafer cubes, wafer Nuss and Gigabite.
(i) Wafer cubes - light crispy wafer cubes contain sweet, creamy & rich fillings in bite sizes and available in 3 variants, Chocolate, chocolate hazelnut & vanilla.
(ii) Wafer Nuss – chocolate filled wafer with chunky hazelnut cream in convenient bite sizes, comes with 1 variant called hazelnut tango.
(iii) Gigabite mini wafer roll - cream filled mini wafer roll available in 2 variants, Chocolate & Strawberry.
Lexus
Background
Munchy’s Lexus cream sandwich biscuit was launched in September 2005. Over the years, Lexus has established its reputation and meeting consumer needs by delivering tasty cream sandwich crackers. Lexus Cream Sandwich consists of 3 flavours: Chocolate, Cheese and Peanut Butter.
