Mount Macalester

Mount Macalester (79°41′S 84°20′W / 79.683°S 84.333°W / -79.683; -84.333) is a prominent peak rising to 2,430 m in the central part of Soholt Peaks, Heritage Range, Ellsworth Mountains. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy aerial photographs, 1961-66. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Macalester College, St. Paul, MN, the alma mater of Gerald F. Webers, leader of the United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) Ellsworth Mountains Expedition, 1979-80.
