Mount Macbain (83°6′S 162°18′E / 83.1°S 162.3°E) is a prominent mountain, 2,205 m, standing between the mouths of Cornwall Glacier and Helm Glacier in the Queen Elizabeth Range. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Commander Merle Macbain, U.S. Navy, Public Information Officer, U.S. Naval Support Force, Antarctica, during U.S. Navy Operation Deepfreeze III and IV, 1957–58 and 1958-59.
