Mostafa Kavakebian (Persian:مصطفی کواکبیان born on March 18, 1963) is an Iranian reformist politician and representative of Semnan and Mehdishahr at Parliament of Iran. He is a Ph.D. and professor of political science Allameh Tabatabai University.

Early life

In 18 March 1963, he was born in Semnan. His studies until the end of his high school spent in Semnan. In 1982, he entered in Imam Sadegh University and Seminaries addition to courses of study end level undergraduate and Fvqlysans their political science from the University received. His 1376 Ph.D. in political science from the Tarbiat Modarres University received.The early Iranian Revolution, a grassroots group to realize the views of Ayatollah Khomeini called "Al-Khomeinion" formed.

Political Activities

He is also Leader of Democracy Party as a reformist party that he founded it in 2000. He was leader of Popular Reformist Coalition that to running on 2004 Iranian legislative election and 2008 Iranian legislative election. He is a member of Reformist faction in the Parliament. He founded Popular Coalition of Supporters of Mir-Hossein Mousavi in the 2009 Iranian presidential election. Before he founded his party, he was the Deputy Leader of Unity Party. He is also the Editor-in Chief of Mardomsalari Newspaper.
