Morrillia is an extinct genus of proboscidea, family Gomphotheriidae, endemic to North America during the Pleistocene epoch from 1.810 Ma—300,000 years ago, living for approximately 1.5 million years.[1]

Morrillia may have had two tusks on each side of its trunk like Gomphotherium.

Taxonomy

Morrillia was named by Osborn (1924). It was assigned to Gomphotheriidae by Osborn (1924) and Shoshani and Tassy (1996).

Fossil distribution

Fossil distribution is reserved to Navajo County, Arizona and Briscoe County, Texas.
