The term: "Moroccan Rugs" refers to those rugs and carpets that were produced in Morocco. These rugs are easily recognizable - they usually have vary abstract and primitive patterns and a Shag Rug texture.
Types of Moroccan Rugs:
Berber Rugs - Can be flat woven (like a kilim) or pile and sometimes even a combination of the two.
Example of a Berber Rug:
Beni Ourain Rugs:
Are the most easily recognizable - they almost always will have a white color background, abstract geometric designs and a shag rug texture.
