Morgan Peak

Morgan Peak (75°47′S 68°24′W / 75.783°S 68.4°W / -75.783; -68.4) is a peak rising to about 1,100 m, located 3 nautical miles (6 km) northeast of Mount Leek in the Hauberg Mountains, Palmer Land. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in 1985 after Commander William A. Morgan, U.S. Navy, command pilot of an LC-130 aircraft in support of a United States Geological Survey (USGS) geological party to this area, 1977–78; Commanding Officer, Antarctic Development Squadron Six (VXE-6), May 1978 to May 1979.
