The Hauberg Mountains (coord|75|52|S|069|15|W|) are a group of
mountain s of about 56 km (35 mi) extent, located 19 km (12 mi) north ofCape Zumberge and 48 km (30 mi) south of theSweeney Mountains in easternEllsworth Land ,Antarctica .Discovered by the
Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947-48, led byFinn Ronne , and named by him for John Hauberg, ofRock Island, Illinois , a contributor to the expedition.References
