Events
Many events are held in the shrine throughout the year. The most imporant event is the Aki-no-Taisai held in October. This takes the form of a costume parade in honour of Emperor Jinmu, Japan's first emperor, featuring women dressed in gorgeous wedding kimono. In addition, there are several big events per year, including:
