Mixed flowing gas

Mixed flowing gas

Mixed flowing gas is a type of environmental testing for products, particularly electronics, to evaluate resistance to corrosion due to gases in the atmosphere. The product is exposed to gases such as chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide at levels in the parts per billion range, in a controlled environmental chamber. After exposure to these gases for a certain amount of time, the product is removed from the chamber and examined for corrosion or degradation in the characteristics of metal contacts or connectors.
