Playing career
Mitchell Villani first played for Adelaide Avalanche of the Australian Ice Hockey League in 2006. During his first season he played three games and scored one goal.[2] He continued to playing for the Avalanche until 2008 when the team folded mid-way through the season. Villani along with the rest of the team were transferred to the new Adelaide A's (now Adelaide Adrenaline) team which was formed to replace the Avalanche. In 2009 Villani played his second season for the Adrenaline where he played 11 games, scoring six points.[3]
Villani has also been a member for the South Australian State team in the Brown grade (23 & under) in 2008, where he played four games.[2]
