The team has existed since 2002. They play their homes games at the D'Iberville Sports Complex in D'Iberville, Mississippi.
In the 2008 Season the Pirates lost in the semifinals to the Panhandle Crusaders. Terrance "Red" Stallworth was named Defensive MVP for the league during the Championship weekend, and Ricky Lewis was named Defensive MVP of the All Star game. The League Champions for the 2008 season are the Panhandle Crusaders.
