"Missing" is the third single by Flyleaf from their second studio album, Memento Mori.

Content

The lyric "All is vanity underneath the sun" is a quote from the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes.[2]

Music video

The music video (directed by Diane Martel) premiered on Vevo on March 18, 2010 [3]. Once again, it featured artwork designs in the background, rather than actual live performance, such as in "All Around Me" and "I'm So Sick". The video features Lacey Mosely as a girl left by her parents in a ship, and uses old silent movie conventions, complete with subtitles like "She falls further...".
