Miss Kerala is a beauty contest held in the Indian state of Kerala. Every beauty contestant is closely monitored by an expert panel of juries in the areas of beauty and talent. The Miss Kerala Foundation was established in the year 1999 and held its first pageant that same year. The foundation performs social service and since inception, has donated a major part of its proceeds to charity work, especially for childcare. It was initiated by leading pageant producer Ramesh Menon who was the youngest licensee of Miss Universe TV rights along with a local event management company.
