Miss South India

Femina Miss India South is a Beauty pageant established in 2008 for states including Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Miss India South hopes to spread all over India to bring together the youth of South India reflecting the culture and tradition of Indian in its truest color, to showcase South India in all its splendor, its exciting blend of culture, tourist destinations and natural beauty to the entire world.

  • Miss India South was introduced in 2008
  • In 2008 Parvathy Omanakuttan, the first lady to be crowned as Miss India south and the first Miss India south to be crowned as Miss India .
  • Parvathy Omanakuttan crowned as 1st ever Miss India south in 2008 was directly selected as top 10 semifinalists in miss India 2008. she later on won the title of Miss India World.
  • Parvathy Omanakuttan moved on to Miss World to represent India in Miss World 2008. She was later crowned as princess of world that is Miss World 1st runner up title. where Miss Russia was the eventual winner.
  • Miss India South 2009 Faith Pandey could make only to the top 10
  • Ragini Diwedi Miss India South runner up also made it only to the top 10
  • Nicole Faria is the second Miss India south to win Miss India title after Parvathy Omanakuttan in 2008.
  • Krithika Babu miss India south 1st runner up made it to top 5 with Nicole Faria
