Company Profile

Mishimoto Automotive was established in 2003 [1], originally operating as a vendor, re-selling stock parts for cars. The company began developing their own line of parts shortly after, transitioning over from re-sale to production and design of original products. The company primarily produces cooling upgrades. The company runs its business operations out of its Wilmington location[2], and maintains a distribution facility in Los Angeles, California. The company also maintains international offices to oversee global production and distribution. Mishimoto sells direct to consumers, and also through various domestic and international vendors in Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas to support its customer base.

Products

Mishimoto Automotive specializes in the design of aftermarket cooling parts for both American domestic model cars, and as well as import model cars [3]. Currently the company offers aluminum radiators, electric fan shrouds, intercooler kits, racing thermostats, air diversion plates, silicone hose kits, and cooling accessories. Mishimoto sells both universal designs of their products along with direct OEM models.

Motorsports Competition

Mishimoto has sponsored over twenty professional drivers and teams in the motorsport world. Teams come from Formula Drift, Rallying, and Time Attack[4].

Notably, Mishimoto currently sponsors 2009 Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg[5], driver of the NOS Energy Drink Nissan 350Z. Mishimoto also sponsors FWD Drive World Record holder Chris Rado[6], 2005 Formula D Champion Rhys Millen[7], Team ACP’s Andrew Comrie-Picard, Kyle Mohan, Joon Woo Maeng, Eric O’Sullivan, Matt Waldin, Justin Pawlak, Alex Pfeiffer, Andy Hope, Patrick Mordaunt, and Casper Canul.

International Markets

Mishimoto is based in the continental U.S. and ships products worldwide. Mishimoto currently maintains relationships with vendors in the continental U.S., South Africa, Norway, Australia, Ireland, Greece, Singapore, Puerto Rico, Belgium, Russia, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and the Philippines[8].
