It is directed by Tarsem Singh and stars Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, and Sean Bean.[1] The film, which had previously been known as Untitled Snow White Project, was officially titled Mirror Mirror on November 4, 2011.[2] The film will be released in US theaters on March 16, 2012.[3]

Production
Filming for Mirror Mirror began on June 20, 2011 in Montreal, Quebec under the tentative name, Untitled Snow White Project.[4] Production on the film wrapped in mid-September and is scheduled for a March 16, 2012 release.[5]
Cast
- Julia Roberts as Queen Clementianna - Roberts was the first to be cast, because very early on Tarsem Singh wanted an Evil Queen audiences could relate with. He stated that in the film, the queen is not evil, but rather insecure. He also revealed that the Queen's true ugliness could be revealed at the very end of the film.[6]
- Lily Collins as Snow White - Originally Saoirse Ronan was considered for the role of Snow White but the age difference between her and Armie Hammer was too large (he was 24 and she was 16). Collins was eventually cast in the role. [7] Collins said in an interview that her casting happened in 24 hours after she met Tarsem Singh and read for him [8]
- Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew Alcott - Hammer was cast as the prince who is at first drawn towards the Queen and then towards Snow White. He beat out James McAvoy and Alex Pettyfer for the role.[9]
