Enrollment
In 2005, the graduating class of Millis High School was 73 students, which was one of the larger classes of the past few years. The class of 2009 surpassed the class of 2005 with its student body of 75 individuals, and the current class of 2010 has exceeded the previous year. In total, the high school has around 350 students. The upcoming class of 2014 has about 130 students, which will be the largest class in recent years. It appears that a trend has developed that each year Millis classes have increased slowly due to the success of the school both academically, and athletically.
History
In 1999, Millis Middle/High School underwent a complete renovation, costing millions of dollars.
Millis came in tenth in the state in the Math portion of the MCAS in 2006, while also ranking first in the state with Boston Latin School for English MCAS scores.
In 2007, Millis was awarded the Blue Ribbon School Of Excellence award by the Federal Government under the No Child Left Behind Act.[2] Millis High School has been ranked by US News and World Report as one of the top public schools in the nation.[citation needed] The award was earned under the excellent leadership of then principal Linda McCann.
Clubs and extracurriculars
Millis High School has a wide variety of school clubs or extracurricular groups. They consist of SADD (students against destructive decisions) , National Honors Society, Peer Leadership, Amnesty International, Common Ground, Benefactors, Robotics, Investment club, and many others.
Dead Poets Society
In 2007, Millis students started a group called Dead Poets Society. The group was derived from the movie “Dead Poets Society.” This club has the same concept from the movie. In the movie, a couple of the students find out about DPS (Dead Poets Society) from their English teacher. At night, they sneaked out of the college and went into a little cave in the woods. There they would recite poems that they or others had written. In this club, we write poems and present them to the class on a certain day in the school's seven day rotation period. Almost every week we pick a subject or topic to write a poem about.

The next year the team, after losing only two seniors from the year before, made another run for the state title. This time they made it to the state semifinals, only to suffer another loss. This past season, the girls had made it all the way to the state finals and won. State Champions '03 '08
Football
Football's most recent success was in 1999 when they won the Superbowl. The team also won the State title in 1980 and 1994. The team won the league multiple times in 1965, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1984, 1994, 1996, 1997, and 1999. Millis plays its Thanksgiving rivalry game every year against the Medway Mustangs, who in recent years have dominated the rivalry. In 2009 the Mohawks went 5-6 for the second straight year, an improvement from an 0-11 campaign in 2007. The captains for the Mohawks in 2009 were Johnny Duffy(QB/MLB), Andrew Bonzey(WR/DB) and Cole Tagney(OL/DL). The Mohawks made a bold move this year by the joining of Hopedale, who does not have a football team. Millis had very little numbers at the beginning of the season and the joining of Hopedale players helped immensely. Johnny Duffy ended up being the co-MVP of the tri-valley league this year while the team had a pretty good year going 5-6. So far this year the Millis-Hopedale Mohawks have a record of 2-2. Boys' soccer
The boys' soccer team made the state tournament back in the year 2004. A few rough seasons followed that year of success with the team going without a win for the next two seasons. In 2008, the team was finally experienced and talented enough to break out since the team was mostly seniors and juniors. The team was returning all but 1 player, and the 2007 campaign ended with an upset win over Medway and a 0-0 tie versus Westwood. Unfortunately, the season did not go as planned, and the team only could win 2 games and force 2 ties. After graduating 9 seniors, 2009 came around and the team disappointed again with only a few wins on the season. Andres Barrera and Michael Davis were named Co-MVP of the team
