Mike Tamburo

Mike Tamburo is an independent musician, film maker, inventor, instrument builder, story teller, writer, psychonaut, Kundalini Yoga devotee, Reiki practitioner, installation artist, painter, orgone energy enthusiast, and amateur ethno-botanist born on March 30, 1977 in New Kensington, PA and currently living in Pittsburgh, PA. He plays the hammered dulcimer, the gong, the crowned eternal (an instrument he built out of a headboard) and tuning forks and in the past has played guitar, percussion, electronic instruments, bulbul tarang, bass gopichand, gulbulgar, singing bowls, and clarinet. He runs a small label called: New American Folk Hero.[1] and curates the Fantastic Voyagers Music Festival.
