Kari Feinstein founded the company in 2003. In 2006 she joined forces with Mike MGuiness, who had become a skilled event planner working as Director of Marketing and Promotions at the Spider Club in Los Angeles.[2] They named the company Feinstein/McGuiness Public Relations, and their headquarters are in Los Angeles. Kari Feinstein's Style Lounge
The company is best known for their Celebrity Gifting Suites, the first of their kind when Kari Feinstein introduced her lounge.[3] They produce the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge five times annually in anticipation of major award shows and film festivals. These events allow companies to directly gift celebrities. The lounge is largely in anticipation of major award shows and film festivals (Golden Globes, Sundance Film Festival, Academy Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Emmys). The events are held at private estates in Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Make-up, hair, nails, massage, transportation, wardrobe, and food are all provided to attendees.[2] A team of WireImage photographers at events is generally contracted to photograph celebrities posing with products.[6] Forty or more gifting suite companies bid every year for lucrative gigs such as the Emmy's, but FMPR always gets into the top three.[citation needed]
Kari Feinstein’s Style Lounge has been reported on in media such as E!, Extra, KTLA Morning News, CNN and in OK!, US Weekly, Star, In Touch Weekly, People, and Life & Style Magazine.[6] Through the Style Lounge, FMPR is a supporter of the Creative Coalition nonprofit public charity organization, founded in 1989 by prominent members of the Hollywood creative community.[3]
