Miguel António Teixeira Ferreira Pedro (born 6 November 1983) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for C.D. Feirense as an attacking midfielder.

Football career

Born in Porto, Pedro began his professional career in the second division, playing two seasons each with S.C. Salgueiros and C.D. Aves, both in the north.

In the summer of 2006, he moved to the top flight with Académica de Coimbra, making his competition debut on 28 August, in a 1–1 draw at Vitória de Setúbal, and finishing his debut season with 26 matches and two goals, as the Students maintained its division status.

In the following seasons, Pedro continued to be regularly used at Académica, although rarely as a starter. Also brought from the bench, he scored against F.C. Porto on 25 October 2009, but in a 2–3 away defeat; the following month, he was sold to Anorthosis Famagusta FC in Cyprus, for three 1/2 years and a 100,000 transfer fee.[1][2][3]

However, Anorthosis did not pay the solidarity contribution tax to Salgueiros and Aves, and both clubs requested arbitration from the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber, eventually being ordered to pay.[2][3] In the 2010–11 season, he was loaned to fellow top divisioner Ermis Aradippou.

In the 2011 summer, Miguel Pedro returned to his country, joining freshly promoted to the top level C.D. Feirense.
