Mezam — Department — Department location in Cameroon Country Cameroon Province Northwest Province Capital Bamenda Area - Total 673.7 sq mi (1,745 km2) Population (2001) - Total 465,644 Time zone WAT (UTC+1) Mezam is a county of Southern Cameroons currently occupied by the government of the Republic of Cameroon and currently known as a department of Northwest Province in Cameroon. The department covers an area of 1745 km² and as of 2001 had a total population of 465,644.[1]The capital of the department lies at Bamenda.
