- Mesih Mehmed Paşa Mosque
-
Mesih Mehmed Pasha Mosque (Turkish: 'Mesih Mehmed Paşa Mosque'), is a mosque built by Mimar Davud Ağa in 1585. The Mosque was dedicated to one of the grandvizier of III. Murad, Mesih Mehmed Paşa. It has one dome, one minaret and three doors.
The Mosque is in İstanbul's Fatih district, in Muhtesip İskender neighborhood, on Eski Ali Paşa street. It has been written on the tomb of Mesih Mehmed Pasa, that the mosque was built by Mimar Sinan. However, Ahmet Refik states that the mosque was claimed to one of Mimar Sinan's students, Mimar Davut Ağa.[citation needed] In the same neighborhood there is Hırkai Şerif Mosque.
