Merrifieldia bystropogonis is a moth of the Pterophoridae family. It is found on the Canary Islands and Madeira.
The wingspan is 16-20 mm.[2] The forewings are slightly-grey shaded. The hindwings and abdomen are brownish-grey.
The larvae feed on Bystropogon plumosus.[3] They draw together the leaves and young flower-buds on the leading shoots of their host plant. Larvae are pale green and reach a length of 11 mm.
