Mercury provides embedded solutions through delivery of specialty technology, reference design, know-how, system integration, training and consulting services, mainly focus on CCS (Computing, Communication and Storage). Offering turnkey solutions and services to Industrial, Defense, Telecommunication and Aerospace customers who need high-available embedded system.
Hardware
Mercury products include three types of embedded application.
- Dual-PPC7448 + MV64560 for high performance digital signal and image processing. With onboard PCIe Switch board can provide high speed XMC/PMC connector for PCIe based Graphic Controller, Communication Controller and A/D converter, onboard Gigabit Ethernet Switch provides flexible network configuration with other boards on backplane, AMP mode Dual-PPC7448 cooperate with shared memory on PCIe bus.
- RapidIO switch for high speed communication, is designed in cooperation with Tundra. RapidIO is a reliable packet switched network that uses point-to-point links and chip-to-chip handshaking reservations to avoid dropping packets. Scalable design allow user create non-blocking network with large volume nodes.
- XMC/PMC Solid Storage Card for high speed and large volume storage application. Reconfigurable FPGA implementation allow card to be used in various storage system such as Database Server, Bus Analyzer and Signal Recorder which require different access frequency, granularity and sequence.
Software
- VxWorks RAID is a flexible configured, high-performance and easily expanded Software RAID solution, making it ideal for MultiChannel Video Recorder, Bus Analyzer, High-Speed Signal Recorder and High-Resolution& Large Scale Map usage, can be used seamlessly with VxWorks DosFS file system and other file systems with block device interface. Sub drives can be partitioned, and individual partitions can be used as part of different RAID sets. USB, ATA, SATA, SCSI and Fibre Channel drives can be used in the same RAID set.
- MB86R01 VxWorks BSP is a perfect VxWorks application development platform based on Fujitsu MB86R01(ARM926EJ) 32-bit RISC microcontroller, includes a complete BSP to support VxWorks 5.5, consists of drivers for Ethernet, Serial, NOR flash, USB Host/Target function, GDC and CAN. Fujitsu MB86R01(ARM926EJ core) processor is targeted at next-generation automotive terminals such as car navigation systems and digital dashboards.
