The Merchants Exchange Building was rebuilt in 1904 at 465 California Street, San Francisco.[1] Designed by architects Daniel Burnham and Willis Polk, who were working in Burnham's San Francisco office at the time,[2] it was built in 1903, substantially destroyed in the 1906 earthquake and fire and rebuilt by Polk afterward.[1]
The building contains the Julia Morgan Ballroom, which is used for weddings, parties, and corporate events. [3]
