Mediatrope LLC (also known as Mediatrope Interactive Studio) is an award-winning[1] design firm based in San Francisco specializing in interactive media, web design and content management, kiosks, time-based digital media, and exhibition design. Mediatrope was founded in 1996 by Tania Schwartz and Ethan Wilde.

Clients include Hewlett-Packard, Bank of America, the Smithsonian Institution, Adobe Foundation, Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, Citizens for Community Health and Sustainability (CCHS), Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Netcentives, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, among many others.

In 2007, the firm was recognized by Forbes as "Best of the Web" for Netcentives' new site[2]. Mediatrope was also recognized at the Webby Awards for their work on the Brennan Center for Justice[3] and received the 2009 Communicator Award for the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian's site[4].
