Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Development (MAHE)

Taylor University's Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Development or MAHE, begun in 2007, is a 2-year, 36-hour program designed to equip Christian men and women to be change agents in higher education. The program's distinctives include a scholarly, theory-based approach to student development and practical training through assistantships for all full-time students.^[1] All graduates complete a thesis, a process designed to engage them as practitioner-scholars^[2] in institutions of learning.

The program operates on a cohort model, meaning every class of 14-17 full-time students spends a great deal of time in class and working with each other, creating relationships that benefit them on personal and professional levels for years to come. All the MAHE faculty bring significant experience as leaders in higher education to their classrooms, with the four core professors totaling over 65 years of leadership between themselves.^[3]
