Mason Douglas is an American country music artist from Tucson, Arizona. His debut album, My Wild Heart, was released in 2010.

Early life

Mason Douglas was born in Glendale, Arizona at Luke Air Force Base. He lived primarily in Tucson, Arizona and attended the University of Arizona before moving to Nashville, Tennessee after graduation. Mason founded the band Blue Morning in 2002, and toured throughout the southeast before the band went on hiatus in 2006. Mason signed to Rural Rhythm Records in 2008 and released his debut album, My Wild Heart in 2010.

Personal life

Mason attended Sahuaro High School in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from the University of Arizona with a double-major in MIS and Marketing. His father, Claude F Hough III, an Air Force pilot, died of ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) in 1993. His mother, Sherry Hough, is a retired school teacher and librarian and still lives in Tucson. Mason has one sister, Michelle, who resides in Dallas, Texas. Currently, Mason lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

Charitable

Mason has worked with the ALS Association and contributes his proceeds from a song compilation, Words and Music Nashville (Adroit Records), to the ALSA. He has also been involved with many military-oriented events and functions where his song "Home Free" is often a thematic anthem. Mason adopted a Greyhound in 2010 and promotes animal rescue efforts at his shows.
