Marshall Valley (78°4′S 164°10′E / 78.067°S 164.167°E) is a small valley, which is ice free except for Rivard Glacier at its head, lying between the Garwood and Miers Valleys on the coast of Victoria Land. Named by the New Zealand Blue Glacier Party (1956–57) for Dr. Eric Marshall, surgeon and cartographer of the British Antarctic Expedition (1907–09), who accompanied Shackleton on his journey to within 97 nautical miles (180 km) of the South Pole.
