She was crowned Nuestra Belleza Chiapas on August, 2008 in Comitan, Chiapas and elected Nuestra Belleza Mexico Costa Maya on July, 2008 by Nuestra Belleza Organization.
Biography
Representing her native state of Chiapas, Marliese Edelmann competed in the national beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2008, where she obtained sixth place among thirty-two other contestants, thus making her the first Chiapan to go so far in the national contest. She was crowned in Chiapas by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2007 titleholder Rosa María Ojeda of Sinaloa and Nuestra Belleza Chiapas 2007 Natalia Ruiz. Edelmann represented her country in the international Reina de la Costa Maya 2009 pageant, held in La Isla Bonita, San Pedro, Belize on August 7 of that year. Despite being one of the favorites to win the crown, she made the semifinals, ending her participation as the second runner up of the year.
In 2008 she participated in the video "Yo soy Chiapas", where she shares the camera with artists of international stature such as Reyli and Lourdes Munguia
Now she is studying acting but might be reappointed for other international competitions in which she will represent Mexico.
She has been representing to Mexico in the Miss FOX Sport 2010, where she has semifinalist
