Biography
Lt. Colonel Vande Hei, U.S. Army, was born in Falls Church, Virginia. Vande Hei has a bachelor of arts degree with a major in physics from Saint John's University and a master of science in applied physics from Stanford University, and is currently a flight controller for the International Space Station at NASA's Johnson Space Center, as part of U.S. Army NASA Detachment.
