Mark Fisher is a British architect and designer specialising in transportation.

Work

He is best known as architect of Stratford International station in London and Ebbsfleet International Station in Kent. These stations are innovative in terms of their modular approach to addressing two similar design problems with a standardised architectural response, thus ensuring on time and on budget completion.[1] Aesthetically these stations show unerlying influences of Mies van der Rohe, and are executed in a formal, late-modernist manner.

Fisher lead Grimshaw's design team on the British Pavilion at Expo '92 and has subsequently worked on numerous rail schemes, including an extended period as Lead Architect for the early design stages of Crossrail's Paddington Station.[2]
