Biography
Born in Lima Peru of a Japanese Spanish descent. He started his career at a very young age studying theatre and performing arts since he was 8 years old. By the age of 18 he started working as a make up artist with François Nars and collaborating with world known photographers such as Nan Goldin, Brigitte Lacombe, David Lachapelle, Elaine Constantine, to name a few with whom he learned the importance of storytelling through images.In the year 2000 he moved to Madrid, Spain, were he continued pursuing his film career and started working as a regular for El Deseo production company. Little by little cut up with the fashion industry he starts creating,producing and directing a number of short films, video art installations and photographs that have been displayed in many different art galleries, film festivals and museums were they worship his work, in 2005 he meets Loles Leon (actress known for her work in many of Pedro Almodóvar´s films)and her son Bertoldo with whom they founded Emperactriz Films and produced his short film Manuela.in the year 2006 Marco collaborated in the 'iAlmodóvar Exhibition!' for La Cinematheque francaise.He now lives in Brooklyn New York directing film video art and music videos.
