Manuel Pavón Castro (born 27 February 1984 in Santa Fe, Granada) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays with CD Numancia as a central defender.

Football career

After passing through a host of youth systems, Pavón finally finished his formation at CD Numancia. In early 2007, he had an unassuming loan spell at his first club, Granada CF,^[1] returning for good in 2007–08.

Pavón made his La Liga debut on 26 October 2008, playing the entire 2–1 home win against Racing de Santander; at the season's end, however, the Soria side returned to level two after only one year up.
