Mangalam-padu (Telugu: మంగళంపాడు) is a village in Sullurpeta mandal of Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Famous playwright and lyrics writer Kilambi Venkata Narasimhacharyulu, better known as Aathreya was born in this village.

History

Mangalampadu Agraharam has a history of 400 years. It was given as an endowment by Venkatapathi Raja I of Chandragiri empire in 1602 AD to Sri Rangaraja Iyengar^[2] for his scholarly knowledge in Vedantas.

Venugopala Swamy temple in the village is very auspicious.
